Televisions!

One of the most interesting pieces of loft furniture that often gets ignored by the average person looking for a loft conversion is a good television. This may sound ridiculous to most people because it’s the most common house hold object in the world that isn’t a necessity like a fridge, bed or other objects, but a great television could turn a decent loft into an amazing loft depending on the needs of the loft itself. Some people really like the home entertainment system as a loft rather than just another bedroom or bathroom, and I enjoy converting lofts into these types of rooms because they are always different, and the decorations that the home owner decides to go with usually changes too.

Home entertainment systems within loft conversion rooms are good because they provide the home owner with their own space, and it also provides what is essentially an additional adult entertainment room. If you have kids or visitors that come to your house often, then it’s useful to have the additional space where you can be yourself. It’s also great to have your own room to watch films that contain a lot of gore or action that you do not want the kids to watch or be around. Little things like this make having your own home entertainment system within your loft conversion a great idea.

We work as carpenters London desperately need, and it’s so important for London home owners to have great Televisions. I also just like how amazing some of the televisions that you can get in today’s world are. Some of them are truly amazing, even if they are a little over the top. Some of the televisions nowadays are even 3D, let alone the 4K televisions that exist. They are releasing newer and newer versions that give you better resolution than ever, and truthfully I love seeing and installing all the new versions too.

Beds!

People often forget that the most important piece of furniture any company can make is a bed. The bed is one of the most used pieces of furniture in any home, especially if the home is filled with workers! It’s often said you will spend 1/3rd of your life sleeping, meaning that you will spend 1/3rd of your life on the most important piece of furniture within any home. So, if you are looking for bespoke furniture with a personal design of your own, or even just to make sure it is comfortable for you, then I would always suggest having one custom made as if will only be £100 – £200 more expensive for a far superior item in quality.

Beds are also interesting because of the amount of wooden boards necessary to create them. This means you can be as creative as possible when it comes to the design and upholstery of the bed itself. You can practically use any materials that you would like to cover the headboards, and you can engrave any design that you would like into the wood work. With some companies, they may even be able to personalise and weave your very own bedsheets and covers to allow for a completely personal bed.

The most important part of any bed however, is the durability. Beds can often see a lot of weight pressed down onto them, especially from the mattress. So, you want a bed that won’t snap in half while you are in the middle of sleeping. You also don’t want a bed that will naturally erode and eventually fall within its own centre. Little things like these are so important when purchasing a bed because you don’t want to waste time on money on an inferior product. So, I will suggest thinking about it the next time you buy some furniture!

Creating Furniture!

MLF are the supreme store within the England area for all furniture needs. We have been in business for 45 years now, and we are constantly growing our customer base due to the reliability and high-end quality that our furniture is created, with the low cost that you would expect from supermarket chains. We have managed to create artistic and almost master-artisan furniture pieces due to our joiners and carpenters that work with us here in the store. Our employees are some of the best in the business truly, and we are lucky that such a large concentration of them happened to live in Merseyside at the time of us opening.

In time, we managed to hire eager and motivated apprentices to learn their trade and the trade of the company within a few years. They were even more lucky because they were able to work and learn with some of the best in the country, if not the world at furniture creation and joinery. The ones who were not so great with the woodworking aspect were retrained to become designers and artists, making the high-quality wood really stand out with world-class designed and upholstery.

MLF (Metro Loft Furniture) prides itself on being the best furniture company because of the high-quality, low cost prices that you would not see anywhere else. We also provide a personal touch for all customers, making sure that any designs we outlay onto the furniture were either requested or agreed to by the customers themselves. We also ensure that all furniture is created and delivered in a timely manner, so you would not have to wait weeks for the best couch in the world. Instead, you would have to wait 3 working days for a personalised and amazing new piece of furniture.

In this blog, we are going to go into detail of some of the amazing pieces of furniture we have created so I implore you to check them out!

Furniture for Conversions

One of my favourite pieces of “furniture” for lofts isn’t really furniture but is just as important a part of furniture than anything else. It is also a key feature of any loft conversion or any other room within your home. The difference that a good window can make to your loft is the difference between a great loft, and an amazing loft. Skylights, velux or any other type of window can make a large difference in the way your loft looks, and the way the light is able to enter your room.

It’s so nice to have a large skylight if you are looking for a loft conversion to being in as much natural light as possible. Natural light is a key factor in making your home look spectacular, but it’s also a negative in the United Kingdom. The way the natural light looks within the United Kingdom, it can give your home a gloomy and almost depressing look. Even during the summer when it should be perfect hours, it can still be rainy and grey. I am sure I have seen fog in the middle of summer some years. It’s not the best, but some people love it.

I personally love looking at the rain fall in a skylight. I have always loved the rain, so it’s enjoyable to see the rain drop from underneath. What is even cooler however, is seeing lightning storms through a skylight. One of my greatest moments in life was watching a lightning storm break out for 4 or 5 hours and being able to see every bolt travel throughout the sky connecting to other clouds or bolts.

I know that not everyone is a fan of a skylight, but I would recommend getting one if you are in love with nature and the world. It gives you such an amazing outlook of the world when you are able to see the sky and the stars every day.

Metro Loft Conversions

Metro Loft Furniture has taken its inspiration from two things. Firstly, I’m a loft converter in Manchester, so I often must order furniture that was designed specifically for loft living or use. Secondly, I’m often considered a “Metrosexual” man because of the fashion that I like to stay in tune with. If you live in Manchester, you would know how it can be at times. As much as I love Manchester, if you are in tune with your feminine sign or you are aware about fashion, you are considered less of a man. It is a hard truth, but its truer because of the industry I am in. Builders are generally rougher than men in other industries, so at times it can seem as if you have a target painted on your back if you do not act like the “man” they perceive you to be. Having said that, they are good people and most of this perception comes from the environment that they have been raised in, rather than the true feelings of the area itself.

I really love some of the furniture that has been designed purely for loft living. I consider loft furniture to be a compact – or mini – version of normal furniture you would find in a home. The beds are always smaller, the desks are always shorter, and the lights always hand lower. It’s like you are designing a room for a real-life dollhouse. That means the furniture creators and especially the carpenters who are specialised in creating bespoke furniture design for lofts have a lot more creative license in their designs.

The colours are always different, the artwork and decal are always innovative and the whole style of the loft turns from what could be considered an artistic mess into an artisan’s dream. I mainly work with loft conversion companies just because I enjoy designing the lofts so much. So in this blog, we are going to discuss the various types of loft furniture you would come across if you decide to convert your loft!
